Where We've Been So Far:

2006 - Seattle to California via Alaska in the summer. Then California to Mexico with the Baja Haha . We traveled through Mexico down to Zihuatanejo, covering an astounding 6,000 miles in our first year of cruising.

2007 - Zihuatanejo back up to La Paz via the Gold Coast.

Summer 2007 - Left the boat at Marina Cost Baja in La Paz while we went home and worked. House sat for Steve & Elsie and accidentally got really good jobs, so worked stretched into the end of January for Rob (end of December for me).

Winter 2007-2008 - Hauled the boat in La Paz then scooted south. Stopped on the Gold Coast for a couple of weeks, then chugged pretty quick down through Zihua and across the Tehuantepec to El Salvador. Traveled inland to Guatemala for some immersion Spanish and sightseeing, then off to Costa Rica.

2008 - Cruising Central America then to Ecuador to avoid the nightly lightening storms in Central America during the summer. We did a little inland travel and took our niece Brittney to Peru with us. Then back north to see Costa Rica and Panama.

2009 - From Panama up to Costa Rica, then out to Isla Cocos. From there to the Galapagos, then into the South Pacific. We sailed to the Marquesas, through the Tuamotos and Societies, out to Niue, and over to the Vava'u group in Tonga.

Where We're Going Next:

Next - Sadly it's time to go back to work for a while. We'll sail north to the Marshall Islands, then see a few more of the islands of the Western Pacific. We'll stop along the way in the Federated States of Micronesia (Pohnpei, Yap), Palau, and then north to Japan. From Japan we'll sail across to Alaska and back into Puget Sound. Hopefully we'll be back for another passage straight back to Tonga and then west from there in a couple of years.
